BRICC in Ballarat’s inaugural Open House Program

BLP are proud to be a part of Ballarat’s first ever Open House program, to be held over the October 28 & 29 weekend.

The Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre is one of 22 contemporary and heritage buildings to be on display, giving visitors the unique opportunity to walk through and explore Ballarat’s most significant public buildings.

BRICC, completed in 2013, is a patient-focused facility designed to reduce the physical and emotional strain of cancer treatment for patients and their families. It’s design perfectly balances the heritage significance of the site with the contemporary considerations of providing state-of-the-art patient care in the 21st Century.

The large main atrium acts as an urban heart connecting doctors, patients and the community. Natural timbers, a sculpted roof and ceiling and a variety of materials and design features work together to create a peaceful and calming environment during a stressful time.
