Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
An integral part of the hospital’s redevelopment is the new 24-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), situated on the second floor. The ICU is fully accommodated on the large 1,700 sqm floor plate with efficient traffic flows to wards in the main block and the Clinical Services Building.
The works included consolidation of laboratory spaces, standardisation of the office zone, rationalisation of the functions within the central control area, replanning of the relatives' area to suit the proposed group sizes, and a meeting area in the office zone.
