The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Parkville, VIC
The Royal Melbourne Hospital, as a part of its role as a major teaching hospital, includes research and clinical laboratories on site for a variety of organisations who work in association with the hospitals clinical areas. The masterplanning of this site has enabled opportunities for laboratory functions to be developed and upgraded into modern facilities for state-of-the-art research. These facilities have been strategically located near clinical areas but without compromising work flows.
The Renal laboratory is operated in association with the University of Melbourne. As well as accommodating the largest Renal Biopsy slide collection in the world, the sixth floor contains PC2 labs, hot labs, and write-up areas.
