Senior Project Architect - Sydney

Our Sydney studio is looking for an experienced professional to hit the ground running leading projects from inception through to delivery. Our current need is to assist on the post DA stage. We require someone with strong Construction delivery, coordination and management skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who has managed internal and external architectural and engineering teams and will take charge, get the best from the team and get things done.

Skills Experience and Personal Attributes

Mandatory:

  • proven experience in managing and delivering local medium-large scale, complex buildings
  • strong portfolio demonstrating a thorough understanding of Revit Documentation and construction detailing in particular building envelope detailing, construction materials and techniques, understanding of structural systems and building services
  • well-developed time management skills with the ability to run multiple projects concurrently
  • effective leader and mentor (leading teams of minimum 8)
  • proven experience in developing and managing forecast resource requirements, assigning tasks and project fees
  • programming – sequencing of design and construction activities
  • Contract Administration
  • ability to set agendas, chair project team meetings and monitor progress
  • Consultant management / coordination and client liaison
  • on site experience including contractor liaison
  • experience in writing technical specifications
  • have a thorough working knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and Local Authority requirements
  • highly self-motivated individual who thrives in a challenging work environment
  • good interpersonal skills
  • a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Experience with “out-sourcing” and packaging work elements would be advantageous

We are looking for a talented Interior Designer with 6+ years of experience looking to make the next career move to join our Sydney Studio.

You will require strong documentation and delivery skills and an exceptional portfolio of work. With excellent communication skills and all round project experience, you will represent BLP and build relationships with clients and consultants throughout the design and delivery phases.

You will work closely with interior design and architectural teams to manage interior projects and the production of innovative interior solutions, designing for a diverse range of sectors including workplace, education and health. Skills in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative suite essential, Revit skills desirable.

BIM Manager - Sydney

We are looking for a seasoned BIM Manager with 6+ years’ experience in BIM management, modelling and mentoring to join our Sydney Studio.

You will be a Revit expert, collaborating closely with the wider BIM team and project teams across the Sydney and Melbourne studios to develop and implement strategies, and efficiently deliver accurate documentation.

With significant and innovative workplace project experience and excellent communication skills, you will represent BLP and build relationships with clients and consultants throughout the design and delivery phases.

You will require strong concept design and delivery skills and an exceptional portfolio of work. You will work closely with interior design and architectural teams to manage interior projects and production of innovative interior solutions, designing for a diverse range of sectors primarily in workplace, and also including education, seniors living and health.
