Alfred Hospital Masterplan

A world class centre in integrated research, education and health care.

A major quaternary hospital in Melbourne providing statewide and national specialist services to the local community and Australia wide, The Alfred is
a 666 bed hospital increasing to an 825 bed facility.

BLP delivered a masterplan for The Alfred Precinct, which includes the AMREP Centre, a world leading centre integrating research, education and health care. The AMREP is a close collaboration between the hospital, research institutes and three universities.

The masterplan also incorporates upgrading of the existing hospital as well as providing purpose built, state-of-the-art facilities to take the health service into the future. Our strategy reinforces the AMREP’s major strength: its ability to approach research within a collaborative clinical environment with close proximity to the Alfred’s wards and facilities.
