Co-locating research and teaching spaces to enhance collaborative learning and efficiencies

This Adaptive Re-Use Project involves the refurbishment of an existing 1970s concrete and brick building consolidating teaching, research and preparation laboratories, office and seminar rooms, associated support spaces, and breakout spaces supported by modern technologies, administration and common spaces to align with industry benchmark standards.

By co-locating research and teaching spaces, collaborative learning and efficiencies are enhanced. As the project will be used by a number of disciplines, flexibility between users, projected future numbers and curriculum requirements are key factors and drivers in the facility’s design.
