Leaving Home: Goodbye 180 Flinders Street

As of Monday 16 July, our Melbourne studio will be moving into our new workplace.

The design team has been feeding off our collective energy and excitement, channelling it into a beautiful space that pushes the boundaries of how we work, engage with our clients, and collaborate as teams. It’s an exciting time and we can’t wait to show you.

We reflect on the memories made at BLP Melbourne as we prepare to move and say farewell to our third and longest home.

Gazing across at the construction of Federation Square, as it turned from a sand pit into the cultural landmark it is today.

Growing from 25 people, to 60, to over 100 at the peak of the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne project.

Watching all the activity of Flinders Street – the protests, the celebrations, the floods of people on the streets as the building lit up on White Night.

Reshaping as THID evolved from co-tenant and perpetual collaborator to become a part of BLP.

Weeks, months and years of Friday Night Drinks around our timber tables, signifying and saluting a week well done.

Thank you to all of our team members, clients, consultants, suppliers, collaborators and friends, past and present, for your part in shaping the last 18 years at Level 7/180 Flinders Street.

Here’s to the next chapter.
