Thank you: A holiday message from the Billard Leece Partnership team

At BLP, we design for connection and for impact. We design for wellbeing. We design for the future – for education at all levels, for the care of our elderly, and for our children and others at their most vulnerable. While multi-layered and complex, this is something we sum up quite simply: Design for a healthy world – it starts with us. All BLP team members are aligned with this vision, and we are grateful for the trust of our clients, colleagues and the communities in which we work.

As a gesture of appreciation for the support received this year, BLP has donated to three organisations working towards a healthier future: Children’s Cancer Institute, Beyond Blue and White Ribbon Australia.

Children’s Cancer Institute

Established in 1976 by a dedicated group of parents of children with cancer and their doctors, Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI) is the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to curing childhood cancer. Cancer kills more children than any other disease, so their research is critical. With the brightest brains, cutting-edge facilities and the most incredible determination, CCI is recognised as one of the leading international child cancer research institutes. Find out more, here.

Beyond Blue

Beyond Blue has been providing support and services to people in Australia for 20 years. They are Australia’s most well-known and visited mental health organisation, focused on supporting people affected by anxiety, depression and suicide. The generational defining events of the pandemic have required Beyond Blue to be innovative and agile in responding to the needs of the communities they serve. Find out more, here.

White Ribbon Australia

White Ribbon Australia is a part of a global social movement working to eliminate gendered violence. They strive for an Australian society where all women and children are safe. The White Ribbon Australia movement works through a primary prevention approach in communities, schools and workplaces across the country. Through programs and campaigns, they engage with men to become active in the social change needed to stop men’s violence against women and children. Find out more, here.

We wish everyone happy holidays and look forward to working together in 2023!

About the Illustration

Located on Dharawal Country, the Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment designed by Billard Leece Partnership demonstrates the measurable impact of art on health outcomes through its inclusion of works by Canberra-based artist Erica Seccombe. Wrapping the walls of the hospital, and reproduced in-part on this card, Erica’s illustrations feature native Australian wildlife intertwined with endemic botanicals, long used by Indigenous communities for their healing properties.
