Bulli Hospital Aged Care Centre of Excellence

Designed to provide high quality care and facilities to older members of Bulli and surrounding communities

The project aspires to create an integrated aged care service model through establishment of a new Aged Care Centre of Excellence (ACCE) on a greenfield site opposite the existing Bulli Hospital. The project also includes IRT Group’s 60 bed private residential aged care facility to be collocated with the Centre, providing opportunities for integration and sharing of services between the public and private providers.

One of the key directions of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District’s Health Care Services Plan is to develop Bulli Hospital as the District wide centre of excellence for aged care services, providing capacity for managing the aged care needs of the Northern Illawarra community, as well as providing a critical mass of clinical expertise at this ‘hub’ to support the delivery of excellence in aged care across the whole District, creating communities where seniors achieve their optimum quality of life.
